Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — Royal Wedding Bells!
Tomorrow at noon, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will get married in Windsor. Regardless of what anyone thinks about royalty in this day and age, for many, the wedding of a prince and an American actress, represents both a challenge to the well-known conservative nature of the British royal family and the pleasure of witnessing a real life fairy tale. Somehow the possibility and hope that ‘love wins', in spite of practical challenges, becomes more real with this wedding.
As astrologers, our attention goes to their individual charts and the synastry between the couple, as well as their composite chart and the transits to it. (Armand and I discussed this in prior editions of IAM - Infinity Magazine).
On the eve of their wedding, it seems fitting to take a brief look at the chart of the wedding itself, as these energies mark the beginning of their life as a married couple and will become an intrinsic part of their marital dynamics.
Looking at the chart of the wedding, it’s not surprising that the Sun is shining brightly in the very public 10th house and the trine to Mars in Aquarius in the 6th, suggests that their public persona will be tied in with the practical actions they take to improve society, financially and otherwise. The sextile to Chiron indicates the potential for their public image to effect some healing, both for them and for others, to do with issues of disempowerment. As Chiron is in the 8th, these issues are probably connected to their family psyche.
The Moon in Cancer describes emotions that are nurturing, family oriented and traditional. The opposition to Pluto suggests deep feelings operating under the surface, possibly related to children in their life.
Venus in Gemini in the 11th, indicates the value they place on their friends and community and the square to Chiron, once again offers the possibility of healing through their friendships. The North Node in Leo in the 12th, suggests that their journey could potentially take them on a heartfelt spiritual path that may be more hidden from view.
With Saturn in Capricorn in the 5th, the day is likely to feel like hard work, with innumerable rules and regulations, which will ultimately be very transformative for both of them, with Pluto also in the 5th.
Jupiter on the IC in Scorpio, indicates hidden depths that lie in their roots for this couple. This is is the basis of their sense of meaning in their marriage. With Uranus and Mercury in the 9th, belief systems and ways of thinking are likely to be challenged by this marriage.
May they have a wonderful life together! MG
